Nasr delivers keynote lecture on circular economy
Nabil Nasr, associate provost for Academic Affairs and director of Golisano Institute for Sustainability, delivered a keynote lecture, “Innovation in materials manufacturing through circular economy” at the online Sustainable Minerals '22 conference on July 12. In addition to his longtime sustainability work at RIT, Nasr provided an overview of his work for the REMADE Institute, for which he serves as CEO. The public/private partnership is focused on developing transformational technologies to accelerate the transition to a circular economy for plastics, metals, fibers, and e-waste and driving down the cost of technologies essential to reuse, recycle, and remanufacture such materials.
