Ph.D. student contributes to new paper
RIT astrophysical sciences and technology Ph.D. student Peter Craig contributed to a new paper submitted to Astrophysical Journal that outlines the discovery of a previously unidentified monster black hole that has about 12 times the mass of the sun. The findings are discussed in a news story by the Berkeley Lab Applied Mathematics and Computational Research division, where Craig spent much of 2022 thanks to a fellowship from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) program.
