Staff members contribute to ‘College Ready’ book
Chelsea Petree, director of RIT’s Parent and Family Programs, released the book College Junior Ready: Expert Advice for Parents to Navigate the Junior Year of College, her fourth in the College Ready series. Other RIT contributors include Samantha Jeffries, associate director of Student Case Management, who authored the chapter “There’s not an office for that?”; Jenny Sullivan, director of Education Abroad and International Fellowships, who authored the chapter “Who will take care of you overseas?”; and Melody Klein and Mel Cerra, academic advisers in Saunders College of Business, who co-authored the chapter “Does a major even matter?” The book covers topics important to the junior year, including burnout, late major changes, turning 21, and preparing for the final year in college.
