RIT Hosts Pep Rally and Send-Off Celebration for Men’s Hockey Team April 6

Fans are encouraged to wear orange and brown to hockey pep rally

RIT hockey fans cheered on the men’s team during victories in Albany March 26-27. A pep rally will be held on campus April 6 to support the team’s appearance at the Frozen Four championships in Detroit April 8.

Go R-I-T! Fans are encouraged to bring their school spirit and wear their orange and brown attire to the Frozen Four Frenzy hockey team send-off and pep rally, 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, in the Frank Ritter Ice Arena. The free event is an opportunity to show Tiger pride in support of the RIT men’s hockey team as they prepare to face-off against University Of Wisconsin at the NCAA Division I Frozen Four championships in Detroit April 8.

The pep rally will feature player introductions and presentations to the team by RIT President Bill Destler, Vice President for Student Affairs Mary-Beth Cooper, Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks and New York State Sen. Joseph Robach. Coach Wayne Wilson and the hockey team captains will also address the fans.

Immediately following the pep rally, the RIT men’s hockey team will board a bus en route to the championships in Detroit.
