RIT Sorority Kicks Off ‘Pinktober’ with Yogurt Eating Competition Oct. 1

Funds raised in conjunction with Yoplait will be donated to breast cancer awareness and research

The sisters of RIT’s Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, along with Yoplait yogurt, are raising money for breast cancer awareness by hosting a yogurt-eating competition in the Student Alumni Union Oct. 1.

Just about everyone knows about the health benefits of eating yogurt daily—it adds much-needed calcium and protein to one’s diet and aids in healthy digestion. But what are the benefits of eating LOTS of yogurt in one day?

Ask the sisters of Rochester Institute of Technology’s Zeta Alpha Tau sorority who plan on finding out during their yogurt-eating competition noon Oct. 1 in the Student Alumni Union’s Al Davis Room.

Proceeds from the event, along with a substantial collection of Yoplait yogurt lids, will be donated to breast cancer awareness and education and Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Those interested in gorging on yogurt are asked to donate $2 to participate.
