RIT hosts swearing-in for U.S. Congressman Thomas Reed

Thomas Reed, the newly elected U.S. Congressman for the 29th District of New York, will be sworn into office during a ceremony at Rochester Institute of Technology, 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Louise M. Slaughter Hall. The event, which will be followed by a reception, is open to the public.
Reed was elected Nov. 2 in a special election to replace Congressman Eric Massa. He previously served as mayor of Corning 2007–2010 and has spent two decades as an attorney and local politician in the southern tier.
