Holiday Shopping Left to Do? Head to School for American Crafts Student Holiday Sale

Wares handmade by students specializing in ceramics, wood, glass and metals

Handmade wares like these will be among the items sold by School for American Crafts students at their annual holiday sale Dec. 15 and 16 in the Student Alumni Union.

For those holiday shoppers looking for handmade holiday gifts, the annual School for American Crafts student holiday sale at Rochester Institute of Technology is the place to shop. The sale is from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 15-16 in the Student Alumni Union on the RIT campus. The sale is open to the public.

Students’ work includes ceramic wares, blown glass ornaments, wood creations and silver jewelry. All of the items are handmade and the original work of student artists. The annual holiday tradition draws hundreds of shoppers.

Many of the School for American Crafts students, from first-year to graduate level, rely on the sale to defray costs of various projects throughout the school year. Prices range from $5 to $200. Cash or check only.
