New graduate scholarship available for energy or environmental program students

Applications due by April 1 for full scholarship awarded by Fundación Iberdrola

Students at RIT enrolling in graduate energy or environmental management programs have a new scholarship opportunity available to them through the international energy corporation Iberdrola. The company has made available through RIT’s Office of Graduate and Part-Time Enrollment Services one full scholarship that includes tuition and a stipend.

This scholarship is for the 2011–2012 academic year. It is open to Spanish, British, and U.S. students wishing to pursue studies in any of the following program areas: renewable energies, emission management and carbon capture, energy efficiency, environment and biodiversity, and sustainable energy systems.

RIT has been selected by the Fundación Iberdrola as one of six institutions to participate in the scholarship program. Other universities include Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Maine; and in the United Kingdom, Imperial College London, Edinburgh University, and Strathclyde University. The scholarships are intended to support students in the regions where the Iberdrola Group has its major operations.

Candidates can apply using an online application form. Additional information about required documentation and supplemental materials can also be found at the Iberdrola website.
