Volunteers needed for Arc of Monroe County College Experience

Courses take place at RIT for adults served by local agency

Volunteer instructors are needed to participate as workshop leaders for the Arc of Monroe County’s annual College Enrichment Experience. The program is a four-day college experience for adults with developmental disabilities being held June 20–23 at RIT.

During the program, volunteers share talents and subject-matter expertise for one-day or multiple-day classes. At previous summer sessions, programs such as computer skills, understanding fire safety, first-aid information, and tai chi techniques were taught. The class times range from 45 minutes to 90 minutes and have, on average, five to 12 students enrolled.
