‘Photo District News’ Magazine Brings Top Talent to RIT

Young photographers to lead panel discussion as part of PDN 30 issue

Rochester Institute of Technology will play host to a panel discussion led by young photographers selected as part of Photo District News magazine’s “30 new and emerging photographers to watch” issue.

The discussion, “Transitions: Strategies for the Young Working Photographer,” will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 6 in Webb Auditorium, James E. Booth Hall. The discussion will be followed by a reception from 8 to 9 p.m. The panel discussion is free and open to the public.

The young photographers include Katrina D’Autremont (MFA ’07), Jody Rogac and Will Steacy. The photographers will be joined by panel moderator Holly Hughes, editor of Photo District News as well as Andy Katz, Sony Artisan of Imagery, and Natalie Matutschovsky, associate photo editor, The New York Times Magazine.

RIT alumni D’Autremont, Pari Dukovic, Colleen Picciotti and Justin Picciotti were featured as part of the PDN 30 this year.

The event is sponsored by Photo District News, ASMP, Canson, Kodak, Sony and RIT’s School of Photographic Arts and Sciences.
