RIT’s E. Philip Saunders College of Business is involved in a unique effort to help alumni in managerial or leadership roles to sharpen their own coaching skills while helping Saunders freshman students develop theirs.
Launched in March 2010, the all-day Coaching and Leadership Program will be held this Friday. During the morning session, alumni are trained on coaching techniques during a workshop led by Certified Leadership Coach Joseph Kenney. The afternoon session shifts to helping students as the coaches encourage teamwork, leadership and networking opportunities during a series of business-related activities.
The morning coaching session will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in room 1225 in Lowenthal Hall, and the student skill session will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. in RIT’s Center for Student Innovation.
