‘U.S. News’ ranks Saunders College among best

RIT’s business degree program receives top marks for qualified instructors

The E. Philip Saunders College of Business at RIT is ranked in the top quarter of 168 schools listed in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Online Business Programs for 2013.

The E. Philip Saunders College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology is ranked 41st of 168 schools listed in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Online Business Programs for 2013.

The Saunders online MBA is a challenging and demanding degree program designed to accelerate the careers of mature, high-performance professionals with significant business experience. Students master executive skills such as team building and ethics, managerial accounting, financial and data analysis, international business and cross-functional thinking and leadership.

“While there is no end to opinions regarding rankings, for us these rankings are simply one more indicator that we are successfully executing our plan,” says Marty Lawlor, director of the Saunders Online Executive MBA program. “Our mission is to provide a relevant and rigorous curriculum for students, faculty with the training and technology to engage students in a meaningful way online, and deliver graduates with a competitive edge in the market.”

U.S. News sent statistical questionnaires to nearly 1,000 regionally accredited institutions that grant a master’s degree in business, including public, private and for-profit institutions. The survey evaluated several factors to rank the best online business degree programs, including level of accreditation, reputation for excellence among peer institutions and academic and career support services offered to students.


Note: One of nine colleges at RIT, the E. Philip Saunders College of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International and enrolls more than 1,200 undergraduate and graduate students. The Saunders College and its entrepreneurial Venture Creations Incubator work in partnership with RIT’s Albert J. Simone Center for Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship to integrate business education with RIT’s world leading technical and creative programs. Graduate programs include Master of Business Administration, MBA-Accounting, online Executive MBA and master’s degrees in finance and administration.
