RIT hosts Design and Vision Competition

Design plans needed for RIT’s new downtown Center for Urban Entrepreneurship

The E. Philip Saunders College of Business invites students from across campus to enter a Design and Vision Competition to renovate RIT’s new downtown Center for Urban Entrepreneurship located in the historic Rochester Savings Bank.

The 40 Franklin St. site is a four-story, 47,000-square-foot building and plans are to refurbish the Center’s new home with multi-functional urban classroom space using modern aesthetics to emphasize collaboration, flexibility, entrepreneurship and urban design.

Designs and illustrations are needed and undergraduate and graduate students in good standing are eligible to submit projects. Multi-disciplinary teams are encouraged. The winning team or student will win $500.

To enter, submit one 24” high by 36” wide document as a PDF with images and text descriptions of design concepts. Renderings or illustrations are encouraged; plans are not required.

Registration closes Feb. 15, submissions close Feb. 22 and the winner will be announced Feb. 29.

Submit questions and registrations to dpelliccia@saunders.rit.edu. Submissions can be emailed to cue@saunders.rit.edu.
