RIT Production Services wins ADDY Award

Team wins accolades for RIT SportsZone Mobile App

The RIT Production Services Web Team received an ADDY award for design and development of the RIT SportsZone Mobile Apps. They were among the local winners who received awards at the annual event held on Thursday, March 15, at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. ADDY Awards are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition. The local awards are given out annually by the Rochester Advertising Federation.

The RIT SportsZone apps provide access to complete episodes of current and past seasons of game highlights, showtimes and more.

“This award has special significance because this was our very first attempt at building mobile apps for iPhone and Android devices,” says Raman Bhalla, assistant director for Web/IT Services. The apps were developed by Harry Groover, designed by Megan Bastian and Randall Church, and content provided by RIT SportsZone staff. “These awards are a testament to the immense talent we have here at RIT.”
