Saunders College of Business graduate program at Rochester Institute of Technology was ranked one of the 10 least expensive private business schools by U.S. News & World Report The Short List: Grad School.

For the 2012-2013 school year, Saunders College placed in the No. 9 slot with tuition and fees totaling $36,216. Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management topped the list at $21,900, while Alfred University earned No. 10 at $37,646.

“We at RIT have worked hard to make a business education affordable for our students,” says Saunders College Dean dt ogilvie. “In addition to keeping tuition as low as we could, we help our students obtain co-op positions, the earnings from which can be used to help pay for their education, giving our students immediate dividends in terms of education, experiential learning and affordability.

“We have a 94 percent placement rate for our graduate students and a 97.5 percent placement rate for our undergraduate students. Getting a degree from Saunders College of Business gives our students a great return on their investment.”

At least 12 private business schools had tuition and required fees less than $40,000 during the 2012-2013 school year, according to data reported by 140 ranked business schools in an annual survey by U.S. News.

The U.S. News Short List, separate from their overall rankings, is a regular series that magnifies individual data points in hopes of providing students and parents a way to find which graduate program excel or have room to grow in certain areas.
