Bus passes, viewing party available to students

Tigers will ride buses to Albany and attend viewing party at Polisseni Center

For those not able to travel to Albany, a free viewing party will be held in the Polisseni Center on Saturday. Doors open at 3 p.m. and the game begins at 4 p.m. Free food will be provided.

As many as 100 Rochester Institute of Technology students are leaving campus at 10 a.m. Saturday, headed to the Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y., to watch the RIT men’s hockey team play Quinnipiac University in the semifinals of the NCAA Eastern Regional Tournament.

Bus transportation is free for students who purchased tickets for the games by 4 p.m. Thursday, while space is available. The first 100 RIT students can buy weekend tickets for $40 at the Gene Polisseni Center box office or by phone at 585-475-4121. The buses will return after the game Saturday, and return to Albany at 12:30 p.m. Sunday if RIT remains in the tournament.

The buses, ticket subsidy and viewing party are sponsored by RIT’s Division of Student Affairs and the Center for Campus Life.
