Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Because teams are evaluated as materials are received, we encourage you to apply early. Selected teams will be invited to interview with the program committee.

Before starting the online application, please be prepared to answer the following questions:

  1. What does your company do or make? Provide a brief overview of the core idea. (Optional: include a 3–4 minute video pitch.)
  2. What stage is your business in? Examples: raw idea, developed concept, working prototype, beta testing, or generating revenue.
  3. Who are your customers?
  4. What is new or different about your idea compared to what already exists?
  5. Who are your competitors, and how are they similar or different from you?
  6. How will your company generate revenue?
  7. Why should we select your team? This is your chance to tell us what makes you stand out.
Has your project participated in any Simone Center programs or competitions in the past?
Are you currently working with any coaches, mentors or faculty advisors?
Do you have a website?

If you are selected, do at least 2 team members agree to working on this full-time during the semester? (you can take 1 class)
Are all participants current RIT students in good academic standing?
Terms & Conditions

Saunders College of Business will only pay for up to 3 full-time team members per team. All members must be interviewed and approved by the selection committee before the start of the program. However, there are a limited number of spots available each term so all decisions will be left up to the discretion of the committee.
