Inaugural Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing CPAs Summit Held at NTID

NTID Business Studies hosted the Inaugural Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing CPAs Summit September 18-20 on the RIT/NTID campus. Nineteen deaf and hard-of-hearing certified public accountants (CPAs) from the U.S. attended. Twelve students – ten from RIT/NTID and two from Gallaudet University – participated in the summit.

The summit led to the development of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Society of Accounting and Financial Professionals (DHSAF), whose mission is to advance and strengthen deaf and hard-of-hearing accounting and finance professionals through education, advocacy, and networking.
