At an Oct. 29 celebration at RIT, E. Philip Saunders announced a $7.5 million gift to the business college that bears his name. This transformational gift will be used to help fund a major renovation and expansion of the facilities in Max Lowenthal Hall, home of Saunders College of Business.

Lauryn Fulton, a third-year hospitality and tourism management major in Saunders College of Business, has won the Statler Foundation Scholarship of Excellence. This is the ninth consecutive year that an RIT student has won the national scholarship, valued at $25,000.

RIT has received a $1.3 million gift to endow its partnership between the university and Genesee Country Village & Museum. The gift comes from RIT alumnus Philip Wehrheim and his wife, Anne. Wehrheim received a degree in business from RIT in 1966.

The 28th annual Undergraduate Research Symposium, held on Aug. 1, is structured as a professional research conference. Research themes included everything from fundamental microbiology to the fine arts.
