RIT’s Saunders College of Business moves up two spots in Poets&Quants national rankings
Saunders College of Business at RIT has again been recognized by Poets&Quants—a leading resource for business education coverage—as one of the top undergraduate business schools in the nation. Saunders ranked 53rd overall in the nation, moving up two spots from last year.

New chair joins Saunders College with extensive study of social networks and organizations
Rich DeJordy comes to RIT as chair of the Department of Management at Saunders College of Business after serving in a similar role at the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno. Before that, DeJordy was a faculty member for eight years at D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University.

Ekua Quagraine, a second-year international business major from Kansas City, Mo., is the current president of Women in Business. Under her leadership, the organization will resume its annual Skate for a Cause event on Feb. 18, to benefit the Malala Fund.

RIT alumna’s clothing brand featured in New York Fashion Week
After a lifelong interest in clothing design, Chrystel Anne Clasicas has burst onto the fashion scene, starting by selling face masks in 2020 and showing her work at New York Fashion Week only one year later. Now, she’s preparing to appear again at this year’s New York Fashion Week by showing a collection of designs in collaboration with RIT engineers.

Bob Barbato, Saunders College professor and former department chair, retires from RIT after 42 years
Professor Bob Barbato joined RIT in 1979. Since then, he has taught courses in leadership, entrepreneurship, and business ethics in more than seven countries–first taking his wife and kids with him to Ethiopia on a Fulbright scholarship, and then to RIT’s international campuses in Kosovo, Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Beijing, and Dubai.

RIT’s partnership with Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), in India, has expanded to allow VIT students to spend the latter two years of their undergraduate business studies in RIT’s Saunders College of Business.
