Rochester Institute of Technology’s Saunders College of Business has been receiving national recognition for its undergraduate programs, including advancing 16 spots in the popular U.S News & World Report Best College rankings, and again garnering a Top 10 spot in USA Today/College Factual.

U.S. News placed Saunders College No. 77 among nationally-ranked undergraduate business programs, a noteworthy placement from last year’s spot at 93rd. And USA Today placed the college’s management information systems program at No. 10 for the second year in a row.

“Undergraduate education continues to be an important focus for us as a business school, and this U.S. News ranking reflects the strength of our overall academic experience in attracting talented students and preparing them to succeed in today’s globally diverse workforce,” said Saunders College Dean Jacqueline Mozrall.

Management information systems is one of seven undergraduate programs at Saunders College. It is the most popular business major at RIT and has been noted for career-relevant instruction, contemporary resources and access to world-class employers.

“We believe experiential-based learning is key, and our investments in world-class faculty, career services, innovative curricula, and program leadership have made a significant difference,” said Mozrall. “I am pleased to see our progress reflected in these rankings.”

The U.S. News & World Report undergraduate business program rankings were based on a survey of business school deans and senior faculty from colleges accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AASCB). Saunders College dean and faculty were surveyed in spring 2016.
