    RIT students tackle OpenSSL issues to help keep the internet encrypted

    RIT students are helping ensure that internet communications stay secure by using a free and open-source library and toolkit that provides encryption for computer networks. Many of the student’s submitted code changes have been merged into the critical library that powers about two-thirds of all websites and internet servers.

    Billy Brumley named new Endowed Professor in Cybersecurity

    Billy Brumley has been named the Kevin O’Sullivan Endowed Professor in Cybersecurity at RIT. As part of RIT’s ESL Global Cybersecurity Institute and Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences, Brumley will contribute to the university’s growing cybersecurity research profile and lead expertise in side-channel attack analysis.
