Bio
Don joined RIT in January 2016 and is currently serving as an academic advisor for both undergraduate and graduate students in Computer Science as well as in the Computing Exploration Program. He earned his BA in Psychology from Niagara University and his MS in College Student Personnel Administration from Canisius University. During his time at Canisius, he worked as an academic advising intern at Buffalo State, working primarily with undecided students as well as undecided education majors. Prior to joining RIT, he worked as a Residence Director for four years at Niagara University and Siena College, as well as the Interim Assistant Director of Siena’s Higher Education Opportunity Program.
While at Siena, Don’s interests lead him to work on a number of projects, including first-year experience initiatives, first-year leadership development, service leadership, career development, anti-violence and gender discrimination task force efforts, and alcohol education.
Don is a Buffalo native, and enjoys the Rochester area for its many similarities to Buffalo. Outside of RIT, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new coffee shops and traveling.
