Bio

Betty works in the Information Sciences and Technologies (IST) department and for the School of Interactive Games & Media (IGM) as an Undergraduate Academic Advisor. She joined the RIT community in 1997 and truly enjoys being a part of the IST & IGM family! Betty has a MS from RIT in Human Resources. Betty enjoys meeting prospective students, their families, and working with students to help them achieve their goals. One key factor in her job is the opportunity to keep the same advisees throughout their time here at RIT.

Betty’s professional interests include initiatives to help students succeed, such as implementing the IST Second Year Seminar with her team, helping promote the resources that the university offers, such as working in liaison with RIT’s Academic Support Center offering additional workshops on student success and wellness at the Golisano College, and promoting studying abroad by offering additional information sessions to help students take advantage of such a great international experience.

Betty is a Rochester native and loves taking advantage of what the area has to offer. In her free time, Betty enjoys photography, hiking, and spending time with her friends and family, especially her husband and children, and her crazy dog Bear.
