K-12 team hosts STEM speaker series
Donna Burnette, executive director; Brit Milazzo, digital marketing and communications manager; and Heather Storti, assistant director, AEOP Apprenticeships and Career Development, all in the K-12 University Center, organized and hosted the 2023 STEM Summer Speaker Series for more than 450 apprentices and fellows participating in Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP) research this summer. The eight-session virtual series focused on STEM career pathways and highlighted Army-sponsored STEM research. David Schwartz, director of the School of Interactive Games and Media; Emily Nack ’22 (game design and development), IT specialist at the Army Cyber Institute; and Julia O'Gorman, third-year mechanical engineering student and SMART scholar, were featured presenters.
