Career Education Day 2026: AI, emerging technologies, and entrepreneurship
RIT Croatia’s upcoming Career Education Day (CED) is fast approaching. This signature event provides students with valuable opportunities to engage with industry leaders, explore a range of career paths, and further advance their professional development.
Date and location:
- February 25, Hotel Rixos, Dubrovnik
- March 4, Hotel Westin, Zagreb
More than 60 companies and 20 alumni will be representing a broad spectrum of industries, hosting panels and workshops. With growing focus on AI, emerging technologies, and entrepreneurship, Career Education Day offers students a dynamic platform to connect directly with potential employers. Throughout the event, students will participate in engaging panel discussions and interactive workshops designed to provide deeper insight into the job market and evolving career opportunities. They will also gain a valuable perspective on current industry trends and what employers are looking for in new graduates.
Alumni insights and student innovation
As part of this year’s CED in Dubrovnik, six alumni will lead panel discussions and workshops, covering topics ranging from life after college to careers in tech and generative AI. Their sessions will offer students practical insights into career paths and the transition from college to the professional world.
In Zagreb, the program will include a pitch session featuring two student-led startups, Supa Kuna and Project01. These innovative projects showcase the entrepreneurial spirit of our students and demonstrate how ideas developed during their studies can evolve into real-world business initiatives.
Student-led creative direction
In addition to the rich program, we are proud to present the new creative direction for Career Education Day. Building on the excellent brand identity developed last year by New Media Design student Sandra Prašnikar under the mentorship of Dr. Jurica Dolić, this year’s creative direction was led by New Media Design student Matija Mravunac, who further developed the visual identity. This experience highlights the power of experiential learning at RIT Croatia, giving the student the opportunity to apply his design skills to a real-world project while contributing to an important institutional initiative. Projects like this help students strengthen their professional portfolios and further connect classroom knowledge with practical experience.
As part of the academic experience, attendance is mandatory for all students as this event serves as an extension of the classroom, offering critical insights and career-building connections.
