Each year, we proudly celebrate faculty members who go above and beyond in shaping meaningful, high-quality learning experiences for their students. During the 2025 commencement ceremonies in Dubrovnik and Zagreb, four exceptional educators were honored with the Faculty Excellence in Teaching Awards. Teaching at the Dubrovnik campus:
Iva Adžić Kušt, MBA is celebrated for her passion, clarity, and commitment to student learning. Known for detailed explanations, engaging examples, and thoughtful use of videos, Iva makes even the most complex concepts approachable and meaningful. Students appreciate her practice-focused lessons, timely feedback, and willingness to adjust lessons based on student needs. Her classes are challenging yet encouraging, combining academic rigor with a warm, supportive presence. Always smiling and open to conversation, Iva creates an atmosphere where students feel heard, motivated, and valued.
Kevin Walker, MBA is recognized for turning challenging material into accessible, engaging lessons that leave a lasting impression. His clear explanations, real-world applications, and sense of humor make every class worthwhile. Students value his responsiveness, fairness, and dedication, especially in view of extra support outside class. Kevin creates a space where students feel encouraged to ask questions and truly learn. With high expectations, constant availability, and a strong commitment to student success, he has made finance not just manageable, but enjoyable.
Teaching at the Zagreb campus:
Scott Coleman, MSc, JD brings energy, creativity, and relevance to the classroom. With a unique and interactive teaching style, he challenges students to think critically, apply knowledge, and develop real-world skills. Students highlight his openness, fairness, and ability to foster inclusion and thoughtful dialogue. Guest speakers, innovative activities, and philosophical insight all contribute to an unforgettable learning experience. From pitch decks to negotiation exercises, Scott's classes are hands-on, inspiring, and deeply practical. He makes students excited to connect theory with action and see learning as a transformative experience.
Dr. Petar Branislav Jelušić transforms every assignment into an opportunity for growth. Known for thoughtful critique, personalized guidance, and a sincere interest in student ideas, he helps learners build portfolios that reflect real progress. Peter's classes emphasize discussion, creativity, and exploration, with frequent one-on-one feedback and fast, fair grading. Students describe his approach as encouraging, open, and deeply motivating. All of this has been achieved in a primarily online format, proving that connection, care, and quality are possible across any platform.
