RIT Dining Business Office

Mission

The staff of the Dining Business Office is committed to providing legendary service to the RIT university community with a high-quality, single card system that allows convenient and efficient purchasing of goods for services on/off campus that accept our campus ID card as a payment method. Our staff is dedicated to providing customers with courteous, timely, efficient, and effective service including seeking new, expanded uses of the card through improved advanced technology.

Business Functions

The Dining Business Office maintains all records and funds on the Campus ID card for registered students, faculty, and staff. These funds are managed through various accounts including:

Meal Plans – A meal plan is a prepaid account for your on-campus meals. At the start of the term, you pay for a predetermined plan to cover your meals throughout the semester/academic year. Meal plan charges are conducted by our office and sent to Student Financial Services to be applied to student accounts.

Dining Dollars - A nontaxable electronic form of payment used to purchase perishable and nonperishable food and beverage items in RIT Dining locations and vending machines. Registered students can add to their dining account balance by visiting Tiger Spend. Please note all meal plans have a predetermined amount of Dining Dollars linked to their account.

Tiger Bucks - A taxable electronic form of payment to be used to purchase non-food items as well as food and beverage items in RIT Dining locations, vending machines or off campus approved vendors. Registered students can add funds to their dining account balance by going to Tiger Spend. Faculty and Staff can add to their dining account by visiting MyInfo.

Gift Cards - Gift cards are available for in any increment of $5 or more and may be purchased using Tiger Bucks, cash, and Visa/Mastercard/Discover. Gift cards for any Dining location may be purchased at the following locations: Artesano Bakery & Cafe, Midnight Oil, The College Grind, Sol's Underground, The Corner Store, Beanz, Bytes and The Market at Global Village.

Department Card - The RIT Dining Business office manages the creation of the card, deposits, monthly statement generation, and balance inquiries. For more information, please contact us.

Vending Services - RIT has 170 vending machines on campus offering a variety of snacks, quick meals, and beverages. For your convenience, all vending machines accept dining dollars, Tiger Bucks, and cash. The Dining Business office manages inquiries related to vending services.

The Dining Business office also manages group and conference arrangements for customers interested in dining at any of our 17 locations over the course of their stay on campus. Additionally, we act as a liaison to all dining locations for comments, questions or concerns for our Dining operations and campus partners.

Locations and Hours of Operation

Our Business office is located on the lower lever of the Student Alumni Union, Room A520. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm.
