Trouble with a vending machine?
If the machine is malfunctioning and/or you've lost money in the machine, please submit the information through the Report a Problem With a Vending Machine/Request a Refund form through the RIT Service Center. What is the card reader telling me when I use my card?
When you swipe your card, the reader will authorize your method of payment and await your item selection. Once you select the item you want, the price will be deducted from your method of payment. After your have received your item, the card reader will display the total amount of your current vending transaction.
What if I think the vending machine charged my card the wrong amount?
If you think the vending machine charged you the wrong amount, please submit the information through the Report a Problem With a Vending Machine/Request a Refund form within five (5) business days of the attempted transaction. If the machine has made an error, we will place a service call and adjust your account accordingly. RIT has 170 vending machines on campus offering a variety of snacks, quick meals, and beverages. For your convenience, all vending machines accept Dining Dollars, Tiger Bucks, cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and PayRange mobile payments.
