Bio

Lyndsey McGrath is currently an Adjunct Professor for the Public Policy Department at Rochester Institute of Technology. She is also the Manager for Global Initiatives for Global RIT and is responsible for overseeing all support functions associated with the delivery of RIT’s degree programs outside of Rochester. She has traveled to Albania, Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Germany, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Turkey, and the UAE. In her spare time, Lyndsey enjoys hiking in the summer and snowshoeing in the winter. Overall, she just likes to be outside.

Lyndsey graduated with an M.S. in Science, Technology, and Public Policy from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Her research interests are focused on access to health care and education in developing countries as well as the development of the energy and natural resources in Kosovo.

This interdisciplinary course introduces the student to the key concepts of public policy, the policymaking process, the role of stakeholders and interest groups, and the basic dimensions policy analysis. Those concepts are then applied through a range of issues, such as the environment, clean energy, climate change, healthcare, cybersecurity, employment, privacy, telecommunications, and innovation, at local, state, federal and international levels.
