Hugill-Fontanel presents at Makeready and TUG conferences
Amelia Hugill-Fontanel, associate curator of the RIT Cary Graphic Arts Collection, presented “Archives in Action” at Makeready 2020, a virtual symposium for letterpress educators, in July. She provided a virtual tour of the Cary Collection and shared three case studies that highlight how these unique archives can be put into creative action in the 21st Century. Hugill-Fontanel also presented “The Creative Evolution of Type Specimens” at TUG 2020, a virtual conference dedicated to typography, design, and publishing.
