    Academic Success Center: A place to boost grades, and confidence

    One of the first lessons students learn at college is that studying and completing their homework is probably a lot different than it was in high school. That’s why free walk-in study areas were created decades ago at RIT, where students can do their homework and be helped by trained student peers.

    Retrograde wins Ovation: RIT Performing Arts Showcase

    Retrograde, a classical rock band formed about a year and a half ago with five RIT students, won best performance and a $500 prize in this year’s Ovation: RIT Performing Arts Showcase, held Friday night in Ingle Auditorium.

    Voting is open to select finalists in this year’s Imagine RIT: Creativity and Innovation Festival poster contest. Seventy-five poster designs, intended to capture the spirit of the annual festival, were submitted for consideration.

    Upgrades for Tiger Athletics

    Major renovations continue for RIT Athletics facilities, which benefit thousands of students. A new artificial turf field, scoreboards, and lighting have been installed at Tiger Stadium. The project is expected to be completed in 2025 with the construction of a stadium complex featuring new seating, locker rooms, concessions, and a press box.

    Dining options at RIT are growing, with the introduction of a sandwich that has gotten a presidential seal of approval. Yes, you can still get a burger, Philly cheese steak, or a club sandwich. But starting Monday, you’ll also be able to order up a Munson.
