Orientation is a series of events, activities, and opportunities developed to assist you and your family as you transition to life at RIT. You’ll establish a place within the RIT community, build community, and connect with campus resources before classes even start.

TigerFest brings the RIT community together to celebrate the start of a new academic year! Throughout the first week of classes, students can connect with fellow Tigers, explore campus traditions, discover new opportunities, and show their Tiger spirit.

Crisp air and crunchy apples mean it’s fall in Rochester! Kick-off RIT’s annual seasonal celebrations with FallFest. Join us for a variety of events sponsored by different departments and student clubs and organizations.
Brick City Homecoming and Family Weekend

This yearly tradition honors RIT’s families, students, alumni, staff, and friends of the university. Get involved in one of the many Brick City happenings: check out one of our distinguished speakers, enter the Brick City 5k race, cheer on our Tigers at sporting events, and more!

Grab your gloves and embrace the cold during RIT’s annual winter celebration, FreezeFest! This longstanding campus tradition features multiple days of festivities, including hot cocoa tastings, ice skating, and more. Be sure to keep an eye out for Roarie, FreezeFest’s white tiger mascot.

Wrap up the end of the school year with a celebration of all things spring! SpringFest is a great way to unwind and have fun before finals. Join us for music, food, games, and everyone’s favorite, free swag!

This university-wide event features hundreds of exhibits and welcomes visitors of all ages year after year.
