Hi! My name is Laura, and I’m a fourth-year Applied Modern Language and Culture Japanese major. During the 2024/2025 full academic year, I studied abroad in Nagoya, Japan. I experienced so many new and exciting opportunities that I would have never imagined happening. I traveled all across Japan, from high up in Hokkaido to down south in Kumamoto/Fukushima. It wasn’t my first time seeing Japan; however, it was my first time living there for an extended period of time. Living abroad brings a new perspective to your surroundings and may even change your lifestyle. I’d love to help navigate anyone interested in going abroad and who may have questions on the study abroad experience in Japan, and in general.
