College of Art and Design

All majors at RIT can study abroad, and it's an ideal opportunity for you to gain a new perspective on your major, understand the global reach of your field of study, and develop cross-cultural skills that will prepare you for your career.

Planning early, discussing your plans with your academic advisor, and working with a study abroad advisor to find a good program fit will set you on the path to a memorable experience while keeping you on track to graduation.

Tips

  • Saving a few of your free electives, studio electives, art history electives, or professional electives to take abroad will give you more flexibility in program options.
  • Strong art and design coursework is available in Italy, France, Spain, and Denmark —but you are not limited to these locations!
