Saunders College of Business

All majors at RIT can study abroad, and it's an ideal opportunity for you to gain a new perspective on your major, understand the global reach of your field of study, and develop cross-cultural skills that will prepare you for your career.

Planning early, discussing your plans with your academic advisor, and working with a study abroad advisor to find a good program fit will set you on the path to having a memorable experience while staying on track to graduation.

Tips

  • Business courses are available in the Fall and Spring semesters at RIT Croatia (Zagreb and Dubrovnik) and RIT Dubai for an easy, seamless study abroad experience (but you are not limited to these locations).
  • There is a wide variety of business coursework available abroad, which means you will need to spend some time narrowing down your program choices. Thinking about your priorities in choosing a program (level of cultural immersion, program cost, language of instruction and location) and meeting with an RIT study abroad advisor will help you settle on a good program fit.
  • If you’re an Accounting or Finance major, it is important to start early when planning to study abroad in order to have the most flexibility in finding accounting and finance coursework abroad. But remember that if you’re late to the game, you may still have options and a study abroad advisor can help you find a program that may work for you.

Faculty-Led Programs

RIT offers faculty-led study abroad programs designed, developed, and led by RIT faculty. The travel portion of these programs is usually shorter in length (between one to five weeks), taking place over summer, winter break, or spring break. Most faculty-led programs are open to students of all majors, and students may be able to use credits towards free electives, perspectives, gen ed electives or towards certain minors/immersions.

These faculty-led programs may be of interest to Saunders majors:
