Feature film production comes to campus
Expect some changes to routes to class next week
Plan to take extra time on your route to class or work next week as a feature film production company comes to campus filming interior buildings and exterior areas of campus. The campus filming is set for Nov. 21, 22, 23, and 28. Several buildings and walkways around Quarter Mile and Kodak Quad area will be impacted.
The production crew will work with RIT Public Safety to re-route students and employees. Additional specifics will be sent directly to those managing any buildings or affected classrooms. Shuttle services will not be impacted.
The filming is part of MAGIC Spell Studios’ mission to make our state-of-the-art facility and campus available for industry and commercial use.
Amanda Hughes, MAGIC’s technology manager and studio systems specialist, is the primary contact for all commercial production at RIT and at MAGIC Spell Studios. Hughes will be on campus with the production crew.
