Follow up to Revised Indoor Mask Policy
Dear RIT Community,
Earlier this week, we announced a change to our indoor mask policy.
Some members of our community have asked for clarification. To be clear:
- Masks are required for all indoor classes and instructional activities, whether for credit or zero credit.
- For all other indoor activities, masks are optional.
In addition, masks must be worn upon entering the instructional space, even if the instructor is not yet present and must remain on while in the instructional space, even if the time extends beyond the scheduled end of the session. Beginning Monday, March 21, faculty will have the option of being unmasked while lecturing when standing behind plexiglass shields.
We appreciate the feedback we have received that allows us to improve our response to COVID-19.
