RIT Greeks Reincarnate Old Bands to Benefit Children

You’re never too old to dress up for Halloween. RIT Greeks will dress up as their favorite bands for a lip-sync competition this weekend.

The Greek Council at Rochester Institute of Technology will present several events, including the musical contest Air Band, to celebrate the annual Greek Weekend. The competition will be held Sunday, Oct. 30 from 4-7 p.m. in RIT’s Clark Gymnasium. A $2 donation is requested at the door to benefit Margaret’s House, a childcare center at RIT. Everyone who donates will be entered into a raffle to win an airline ticket, and a variety of other prizes.

Impersonators of performers such as Def Leppard, Spice Girl and Otis Day will all be appearing. Each of RIT’s fraternities and sororities will form bands for the day with hopes that they become Greek Weekend champions.

Greek Council advisor Jessica Berner states, “This is a great opportunity for RIT Greeks to show the Rochester community a fun show for a great cause.”
