RIT’s Women’s Center Hosts Conference on Relationship Violence, July 8

The Women’s Center at Rochester Institute of Technology is hosting the conference, Trends in Responding to Relationship Violence: Building Collaborations Between Law Enforcement, Campus Police and Student Conduct, on July 8.

The daylong conference, running from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the RIT campus, is open to the RIT community and the public. Conference fee is $30. Registration is required.

Topics of discussion will include responding to sexual assault on campus, stalking, cyberstalking, drug-facilitated sexual assault, the "consent defense," understanding the impact of sexual assault on survivors, best practices in student conduct, strategies for dealing with psychological abuse in student relationships, and dealing with vicarious traumatization.
