RIT Singers Perform Gilbert and Sullivan’s Trial by Jury, May 6

The concert is free and open to the public

The RIT Singers will showcase a flair for British entertainment during their annual Spring Concert at Rochester Institute of Technology.

The concert will feature two semi-staged performances at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 6, in Ingle Auditorium in the Student Alumni Union. The event is free and open to the public.

The RIT Singers will perform W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan’s wacky one-act operetta Trial by Jury and John Rutter’s The Reluctant Dragon, a contemporary operetta based on a children’s story by Kenneth Grahame.

The production will feature simple costumes and staging. Approximately 85 singers will perform under the direction of conductor Edward Schell, music director and professor of fine arts at RIT.
