Markzware Donates Software to RIT

Markzware, the leader in developing quality control solutions for the graphic arts, publishing and printing industries, has donated software to Rochester Institute of Technology’s School of Print Media and the university’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf.

The software donation, including Flightcheck, Q2ID, ID2Q and Markztools, totals more than $41,000. These tools are vital to the document creation process, allowing students to convert documents from one format to another. The software is also utilized in the prepress process and facilitates a necessary step known as preflighting. Preflighting is the reviewing of documents for problems and corrupt files.

“We are thrilled Markzware has continued its support of RIT’s School of Print Media and National Technical Institute for the Deaf,” says Erich Lehman, RIT School of Print Media. “It’s support like this that enables us to provide our students with access to the latest and greatest software in the industry. Markzware’s Flightcheck software will be utilized this fall in the School of Print Media’s Digital Foundations course as well as throughout our premedia labs.”

RIT’s educational programs help bridge the gap for students that simply don’t know what they don’t know.
