IBM Executive Speaks at RIT
Richard Vattimo will discuss IBM’s transformation into the world’s largest services company
Richard Vattimo, vice president of applications services in IBM’s Global Business Services Division will present “The Engineer as a Global Consultant,” at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Rochester Institute of Technology. The talk is part of the Kate Gleason College of Engineering 2007-2008 Dean’s Alumni Speaker Series.
Vattimo, a graduate of RIT’s industrial and systems engineering department, will discuss how the global nature of information technology services has evolved and its impact on IBM’s business strategy. He will also touch on how the recent trend in the outsourcing of engineering services has brought information technology and engineering closer together.
