RIT Fraternity ‘Shanty Town’ Raises Money for Local Charity March 10-12

Students will spend three days living in cardboard shelters

Students at Rochester Institute of Technology will spend the next three days living in a cardboard ‘Shanty Town’ to help raise money for Harbor House, a Rochester-based agency providing temporary lodging needs during health emergencies for individuals and families. The Shanty Town, constructed and manned by members of Alpha Phi Omega fraternity, will be up until March 12 in Eastman Kodak Quad, near RIT’s Eastman Building.

WHAT: RIT’s annual Alpha Phi Omega Shanty Town fundraiser to benefit Harbor House of Rochester.

WHERE: RIT’s Eastman Kodak Quad area, near the George Eastman Building and Student Alumni Union; in front of RIT’s Tiger statue.

WHEN: noon March 10 until noon March 12
