The next generation of engineers, scientists and innovators are among today’s elementary and middle school students—and they will be discussing enzymes, kinetic energy and robotics at the 2012 Engineering, Exploration and Experimentation Technology Fair.
More than 500 students from local middle schools will participate in the annual fair, an interactive series of exhibits and hands-on presentations related to engineering and science. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 24 in the Clark Gymnasium at Rochester Institute of Technology.
Founded in 1991, the event is co-sponsored by the Rochester Engineering Society and Rochester Institute of Technology. It showcases student projects and robotics challenges, and includes demonstrations by area engineering professionals and RIT’s student engineering societies.
The event is free and open to the public.
