RIT students Taylor Estelle, Stephen Hurt and Vicki Mandrino have received the Outstanding Adult Student award. The award recognizes adult students and their achievements in successfully combining full-time college study with other adult responsibilities of family, career and community service.

Taylor Estelle is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology from the College of Applied Science and Technology and has earned a 3.69 GPA. According to Estelle, his commitment to advancing his career from a blue-collar employee working night shifts to a college graduate with unlimited opportunities has been his driving force.

Stephen Hurt is working toward his graduate degree in the Executive MBA program through the E. Philip Saunders College of Business. He has earned a 3.76 GPA and balances his studies with his full-time position as a registered cardiovascular invasive specialist. Hurt is also a chief petty officer hospital corpsman in the U.S. Navy.

Vicki Mandrino will graduate this month with a bachelor’s degree in applied arts and science from the Center for Multidisciplinary Studies. She began her studies at RIT in 2007 as a part-time student. She has earned a 4.0 GPA while maintaining full-time employment in the banking industry.
