ADVANCE RIT Connectivity Series opens, featuring female faculty leaders

Learn effective strategies for professional advancement at an upcoming campus panel discussion, “Daring Appreciation: Strategies for Increasing Recognition of your Work” at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 1, in RIT’s Campus Center Reading Room.

Panelists include Callie Babbitt, assistant professor, Golisano Institute of Sustainability; Manuela Campanelli, director, Center for Computational Relativity and Gravitation, and professor, College of Science; and Kara Maki, assistant professor, College of Science. Moderators will be ADVANCE RIT team members Sharon Mason, associate professor, B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences,
 and Carol Marchetti, associate professor, College of Science.

The event is part an ongoing series of discussions and workshops in the Connectivity Series, developed as part of ADVANCE RIT projects. Its focus is to provide faculty with the means to navigate professional advancement, including awards recognition and the tenure and promotion processes.
