Faculty panel details strategies and rewards for being an effective mentor

The “So, You Want to be a Mentor?” panel will be facilitated by Patrick Scanlon, the director of the School of Communication, and is designed to provide information to faculty members who are interested in mentoring junior colleagues.

Faculty Career Development Services will host a faculty panel detailing how to be an effective mentor from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 16, in the Campus Center Bamboo Room.

The “So, You Want to be a Mentor?” panel will be facilitated by Patrick Scanlon, the director of the School of Communication, and is designed to provide information to faculty members who are interested in mentoring junior colleagues. Panelists include professors Bob Barbato, Chris Collison, Kirsten Condry and Twyla Cummings. These experienced faculty members will share strategies and rewards of participating in this valuable relationship.

To register for the event, fill out the online form. Lunch will be provided during the panel.
