This year’s Imagine RIT festival features a record 438 interactive exhibits on display, rain or shine, until 5 p.m. Some 80 percent of the exhibits are indoors.

Come out and join us at the 11th annual Imagine RIT: Innovation and Creativity Festival, which kicks off at 6 tonight in Ingle Auditorium, with Dr. Munson’s Performing Arts Challenge. A panel of judges will score each performance and the winners will be announced Saturday at the festival’s 10 a.m. opening ceremony in Simone Circle.

This year’s festival features a record 438 interactive exhibits on display, rain or shine, until 5 p.m. Some 80 percent of the exhibits are indoors.

You can get the latest updates on festival attractions, as well as real-time text alerts from RIT on such things as weather, traffic and emergencies, by texting “Imaginerit” to 888777. Subscriptions are anonymous, and participants will automatically be unsubscribed from the service at the end of the festival.
