Winter Storm Watch - Weather Alert
Be Prepared for Changing Weather Conditions
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm WATCH in effect from Sunday evening through Monday afternoon for our region. There is also a Wind Chill Advisory tonight through Saturday afternoon. Please be prepared for the winter conditions. Wind chills could reach as low as 20 below zero. Take extra precautions if you plan to be outside.
For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy snow and blowing/drifting snow are possible. There are no classes scheduled on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, but the university plans to remain open. The storm may impact activities and operations on campus so please check ahead. Bus schedules can be found on the Transportation website. Dining hours/locations are available here.
We will update you throughout the weekend if necessary.
In the event of a closing or delay due to weather conditions, RIT would use many methods of communication. These include the RIT homepage, email, text messages, Twitter and Facebook.
